I was in an antique shop* in Antwerp (Belgium) last Friday, and saw this GORGEOUS Victoriana wedding gown.
So I HAD to get some pictures.
I don't know what it costs, I was afraid I'd fall over backwards from hearing the price.
* Don't ask me for the name of the shop, I totally forgot.

I am having a clearance sale for the first time! Some jewellery pieces do include steampunk elements, and many reductions in prices have been made to the jewellery pieces, if you like anything, this would be a good time to purchase it! :)
Someone commissioned a set of 8 pieces from me, with everything done to her specifications, and ended up not paying. So I have left with 8 pieces and with no one who wants them, so... Yes. Thank you! |

 Both are $18, both are in preorder rounds. There is no guarantee you’ll get them by Christmas, but you can always try, eh? |

| Clearance Blouse and Tea Dying |

Old Navy has several summer-weight blouses on the clearance racks that would make good Victorian or Edwardian blouses. I got this one for $10.
I wanted a more Earthy color, so I dyed my blouse with tea yesterday and now I'm changing the buttons.
If anyone is interested in tea dying, I posted the process on my blog. The vinegar in the dye bath is optional, but I didn't want to take any chances that the color might wash out.

| Its never too early... |

Hello there
First time poster, long time stalker of steampunk fashion awesomeness.
So as the title says its never too early for... NEXT HALLOWEEN.
For some it may be too soon seeing as Halloween was 10 days ago.
But for me its never too early.
Last year early into the year I had decided that I was to be Blind Mag from Repo! the Genetic Opera this year.
And the costume was little more than a epic fail.
So on November 1st I had a brilliant idea to be a steampunk wind up doll for next year.
I'd like your input on what I can do to tweak Mag's costume.

"OMG, Lia has boobs! Why does she have boobs!"
Most common comment today. -_-0
See, Lia hasn't been in the comic in almost 2 years. (Can you believe that?) In that time, I've taken to drawing my women curvier and curvier. Just a gradual padding over time, and most of the characters were "on screen" during the time they plumped up. Not so with Lia.
Just think of it as, Lia has been very depressed over the past 6 years, and ate a LOT of fudge.
I am so behind with comics, I am thinking of taking a day off work to work on them. I just need to get my buffer back and then I can stop panicking. |

After reading the earlier post about the bowler hats @ Target for just $15, I stopped off at lunch to check them out. They were a little hard to find, buried in a back row, but...Glee!

So, I am turning 40. And that only happens once. To celebrate, we're having a pub crawl on Thursday, the 19th. The party will be suiting up in steamy gear, and the festivities will be led by the nationally known Marquiche, King of Jesters and Jester of Kings. We will be starting at The Melting Pot for gooey cheese and desserty noms at around 7:30 on 6th St in Austin (I'd like a headcount for that, natch). But that means that around 9, we'll start at one end of 6th St and try and drink and party our way down it. If you're interested and can make it, drop a comment here and I'll tally everyone. I know that other people should be trying to arrange this, but you know what? I DON'T CARE! Let's do this thing.

If you can find it still find it in the stores
Stella McCartney has made a fabulous collection for Gap Kids with these two coats and much more for kids from very little to about 12 years old size. Hell I am short enough to hunt about and find the military jacket to see if it would fit as a crop coat but it looks like its already a super hard jacket to find and probaly even harder in there largest kid size to see if short people could make it work.
